Jessie Jo Egersett Jessie Jo Egersett
Massage Director / Massage Therapist

Jessie Jo is a Licensed Massage Practitioner and graduate of Brian Utting School of Massage in 1999. Her education includes many modalities of bodywork with an emphasis on deep tissue. She is also the Director on Massage here at the Seattle Athletic Club.

Jessie Jo’s massage is a melting pot of many styles that include Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, TMJ and tendonitis treatment. She also includes a bit of Thai massage in each session, which is an ancient practice that encompasses yoga, and rhythmic compression along energetic pathways.

Jessie Jo was introduced to yoga at the age of 12 and believes it not only saved her life, but it made it much more interesting! She is currently teaching hatha-based yoga, studying Anusara yoga and Ayruveda. She continues to be enthralled by all of the many philosophies that were birthed out of the Indus river valley.

Julie Bacon Julie Bacon
Massage Therapist

A Seattle native, Julie is in her 36th year of massage practice, having first graduated from the Lindsey Hopkins School of Massage (Miami 1975), and later from the Brian Utting School of Massage (Seattle 1990) where she has been a guest instructor since 1991 teaching her unique style of full body massage (targets circulation with deep, broad-hand pressure: systematic and vigorous). She is certified in Event Sports Massage and Clinical Sports Massage and is a member of the WA State Sports Massage Team. Julie has worked with the Seattle Sonics, members of the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, and pitcher Roger Clemmens. She’s an avid sports fan, and considers SAC Downtown to be an ideal workplace (she has worked here continuously since it opened in 1982). She is a Certified Onsen Technique Therapist, Instructor and Examiner (assesses/corrects skeletal structure; tests muscles for equal ROM/strength and assigns stretches/exercises so body achieves balance and corrections hold). In treatment work, Julie’s goal is to identify the source of pain and alleviate it, permanently, whether it’s acute or only chronic and nagging. She considers giving a full body massage to be equally important and still is amazed at the positive transformation that happens both physically and mentally for her clients in just one hour. Julie is passionate about relieving human discomfort. She has a broad store of knowledge toward that end and she continually adds to it because gaining more knowledge and applying it is fun and exhilarating. She likes hiking, camping, swimming in alpine lakes, geography, exploration, languages, history, reading and telling jokes.
